An early morning walk in the snow led me past the lovely home of my neighbor...and on to our church, where I stopped in to catch up on the latest with my study group.

Worked out at the Y later in the day by fast walking on the treadmill, weights, and swimming for a half hour.

Frosty 5K / Wichita, Kansas

Alright! I entered and finished my very first road race! I walked and jogged...but I made the 3.1 miles on a beautiful route in downtown Wichita. The Arkansas River was frozen over, but it was a gorgeous, sunny winter morning....and a great way to begin the New Year! The best part was having my daughter, Molly, finish in 1st (her age group) and 2nd (overall) and then run back to finish the race with me. Running through the chute with her was just an awesome mother/daughter experience that I will never forget. Now, I want to get my 20 year old daughter, Chelsea, to 'wog' with me in another race in the near future!
